Get every guest there, and home again

East Coast Minibus Hire runs wedding guest transport across County Wicklow and South Dublin. A shuttle that turns up on time and looks right for the day, for ceremonies and receptions at the county’s country-house venues.

Wedding transport

A wedding shuttle is a timetable, not one trip. We build it backwards from the time your guests need to be seated.

The run that slips is the one after the ceremony. Photographs always take longer than the plan says. We hold the bus rather than hurry your day. Getting people home matters just as much. Two return times, an hour or so apart, beat one. Nobody then has to leave the band early.

About six weeks out we ask for a few things. The venue addresses, the hotels your guests are booked into, and a rough headcount. That is enough to set the run order and the pickup points. Tell us then if anyone needs the wheelchair lift, because that vehicle is booked in separately. Well-kept coaches and a smartly presented driver come as standard.

Venues

Six Wicklow venues we drive to

  • Tinakilly House

Just off the N11 at Rathnew, on the coast side of Wicklow town. Handy for guests staying in the town itself.

  • Druids Glen

At Newtownmountkennedy, off the N11 between Kilcoole and Ashford. The same corner of the county as our own yard.

  • Powerscourt

Above Enniskerry, at the Dublin end of Wicklow. The shortest hop of the six for guests staying in the city.

  • Rathsallagh House

At Dunlavin, out in west Wicklow, well away from the N11 corridor. The run crosses the county, so it wants a longer window.

  • Glenview Hotel

In the Glen of the Downs, on the N11 above Delgany. Straight down the dual carriageway from Bray and Greystones.

  • Brook Lodge, Macreddin

At Macreddin Village near Aughrim, the furthest south of the six. Book the guest travel early and the whole day gets easier.

Wedding FAQs

Planning the day

How many buses do we need for our guest list?

It depends on the venues and the timings, but as a rough guide a 16-seat minibus or a larger coach covers most shuttles. For a big guest list we’ll run more than one.

Can you do the ceremony, reception and hotel runs?

Yes, that’s the usual job. We’ll map the ceremony arrival, the move to the reception, and the late runs back to the hotels so nobody’s left waiting at any point.

Do you cover our Wicklow venue?

Almost certainly. We cover the county and South Dublin, including the country-house venues like Tinakilly, Druids Glen, Powerscourt and Rathsallagh. If you’re not sure, just ask.
