What decides the pickup time out of Bray
Bray is the closest Wicklow town to the M50, and the road part of the run is straightforward: north on the N11 and around to the terminals. It is the traffic that moves, not the route. A trip that is comfortable at five in the morning tightens up considerably once the motorway fills, so the pickup time on a Bray job is set by the hour of the morning as much as by the distance.
Bray also has the shortest run onto the motorway of any Wicklow town we cover. The stretch that passes the town is the M11, with Junction 5 signed for Bray North and Junction 6 for Fassaroe, and Dublin Airport is signposted from Junction 4 along with Dublin Port and the northbound M50. Beyond the town the motorway gives way to the N11 dual carriageway through the Glen of the Downs, which is why the same corridor is called by both names and why every town further down the coast joins it later in the journey than Bray does. It is a large part of the reason a Bray pickup can be later in the morning than one from further south for the same flight.
The other thing worth knowing is that Bray is the largest town in County Wicklow and a spread-out one, running from the seafront and the DART station up to Fassaroe on the motorway side. Two addresses that both count as Bray can be a good ten minutes apart in traffic. If the group is coming from more than one house, that spread is worth mentioning when you book rather than on the morning.
The office is open 7am to 9pm, seven days a week. Outside those hours somebody still picks up for airport work, which is the part worth knowing before a 4am start: if a departure time moves the night before you travel, you are not leaving a voicemail and hoping.
What we need
What to send us for a Bray pickup
- Pickup address
- Door number, street and the full Eircode. Bray addresses use the A98 routing key.
- Flight
- The flight number and the departure time. The number also tells us which terminal you need.
- The group
- How many are travelling, and what is coming with you: cases, buggies, golf bags, a wheelchair.
- Extra stops
- Any other Bray addresses on the way out. Add them on the form and we plan one route.
- Which side of town
- Seafront, town centre or the Fassaroe side. It changes the running order, not the price.
Bray airport FAQs
Questions before you fly
How early should we leave Bray for a morning flight?
For a 7am flight we'd usually collect you around 4:30 to 5am. Bray to Dublin Airport is roughly 40 to 55 minutes, and we build in time for bag drop and security. Tell us your flight and we'll set the pickup.
Does it matter which side of Bray we are on?
It changes the running order rather than the price. The Fassaroe side sits beside the motorway junctions, while the seafront and the streets around the DART station are a few minutes back through the town. Tell us roughly where you are and we'll build the pickup time around it.
Can you collect a big group from different addresses in Bray?
Yes. Bray covers a lot of ground, so give us the addresses and we'll plan a route that picks everyone up and still gets you there in good time. Add the stops on the inquiry form.
Do you do the return pickup from the airport too?
We do. Pop your return flight number on the form and we'll track the landing, so we're there when you come through. No waiting around with the bags.
Do you collect in Enniskerry as well as Bray?
Yes. Enniskerry is on our area list along with Bray and the rest of north Wicklow, and we cover the South Dublin side too. Put the address on the inquiry form and we'll quote it the same way.
Can a wheelchair user travel on the Bray airport run?
Yes. We run wheelchair-accessible vehicles with a powered lift and floor securement, and the extra-wide bariatric vehicle needs booking ahead. Say what you need on the form and we'll send the right one.
